Lexicata can sync with your personal calendars to push over appointments, scheduled emails and due dates for forms, documents and tasks. This allows you to view your events from multiple sources, including Lexicata on one calendar.
Clio vs Email Based Calendar
There are two types of calendars that you can sync to: your email based calendar or your Clio based calendar. Only one type of calendar can be synced to at a time.
If you decide to sync your Clio calendar then you will want to set up your Clio integration first.
If you would like to sync to your email based calendar then you will need to sync your email to Lexicata. You can only sync to the calendar tied to the email address that is used with Lexicata.
Syncing your calendar is easy. Provided that you have already synced email or set up the Clio integration, setting up the calendar sync it only requires choosing the calendar type and then choosing the specific calendar to sync to from the dropdown. For more detailed instructions on how to sync your calendar click here.
Each user can choose to adjust their calendar notification settings. The calendar notification settings include:
- Adding appointments to the calendar
- Adding form and document due dates to the calendar
- Adding scheduled emails to the calendar
- Adding task due dates to the calendar
If you cannot connect to the correct calendar or certain items are not appearing on the appropriate calendar please see below for potential fixes.
Different email and calendar providers
Only calendars that are associated with your email address can be used for your email based calendar. For example, if your email addresses is hosted by Outlook you will not be able to sync to your Gmail calendar.
Users do not have their calendars setting set up
When selecting a user’s calendar to add an appointment to, you are selecting the calendar that the user is synced to. If that user has not synced to a calendar then the appointment will not show on their calendar.
If appointments are not appearing on that user's calendar you will want to have them check 3 things:
- That the user has synced to a calendar
- That the correct calendar is selected from the calendar drop down in their calendar settings
- That their calendar settings allow the event type to be added to their calendar
- That their email sync or Clio sync is still active
Email sync error
If your email sync gets disconnected so will your email based calendar sync. You will need to resync your email and then recheck that your calendar settings are still correct.
Clio sync issues
If your Clio integration disconnects for any reason the Clio calendar sync will fail as well. Simply re-connect your Clio integration and then check that your calendar settings are still correct.
